Escape the urban pace and immerse yourself in the seafaring soul of Hong Kong’s southern waters. The Aberdeen Floating Village & Southern Islands Cruise is an immersive multi-day voyage designed for those who wish to experience the region's living maritime heritage and rugged coastal beauty. From the historic, closely knit community of Aberdeen’s traditional houseboats to the remote, wind-carved granite shores of Po Toi Island, this leisurely overnight journey blends cultural discovery with tranquil nights under the stars.
Day 1: Departing Victoria Harbor, the vessel cruises southward along the dramatic coastlines of Hong Kong Island, arriving at Aberdeen Harbor by midday. Here, guests step back in time, navigating the narrow channels of the iconic Aberdeen Floating Village. A sampan tour brings you up close to traditional houseboats and trawlers where families have lived for generations. As the afternoon sun dips, the yacht anchors in a secluded bay near Ap Lei Chau, offering a peaceful evening of stargazing and relaxation on deck.
Day 2: Wake up to a serene sunrise on the water before sailing farther south to Po Toi Island, often called the "South Pole of Hong Kong." Known for its spectacular, weathered rock formations like the Conch Rock and Buddha's Hand Rock, the island offers easy trails flanked by wild coastal views. Guests can explore the ancient rock carvings dating back to the Bronze Age, visit the isolated Tin Hau Temple perched on the cliffside, and enjoy the pristine, unhurried atmosphere before the relaxing afternoon return sail to Victoria Harbor.
All meals are meticulously prepared on board by our private chef. Day 1 features a curated lunch highlighting classic Cantonese roasted meats, followed by an elegant multi-course seafood dinner served on deck under the stars. Day 2 begins with a freshly prepared breakfast spread, alongside quality coffee and tea. A selection of fine wines, local beers, and non-alcoholic beverages are available complimentary throughout the entire journey.
This multi-day cruise operates weekly, weather permitting. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended for the island trails on Day 2. Extravagant private cabins with en-suite bathrooms are provided. Guests are advised to bring sun protection, swimwear, and a light jacket for cooler evening breezes on deck. Early booking is essential as guest capacity is strictly limited to ensure an intimate experience.
